An Ndorobo Maasai elder at Il Ngwesi in Kenya, Kinanjui possesses an unparalleled knowledge of regional wildlife. He was previously employed at Lewa Conservancy to protect and care for rhino and other endangered species, but is now retired. Kinanjui persuaded the Maasai communities of Il Ngwesi and Namunyak to build a tourist lodge, conserve wildlife, and trust Ian Craig’s vision of what the community could do together.
