CO-PRODUCER Rehad Desai has a history degree from the University of Zimbabwe and a postgraduate degree in TV and film producing. In 1996 he entered the TV and film industry as a director and producer, where he has focused much of his energy on historical and socio-political productions.
His 2004 documentary Born Into Struggle, about his relationship with his father - a leader in the South African liberation movement - won numerous awards, including the Cape Town World Cinema Festival.
Rehad is presently the South African board member for SACOD, a regional filmmakers organization, and is convener for the Untied Producers Initiative in South Africa.
